Position Description:
This position is responsible for using a wide variety of precision measuring equipment to perform visual and mechanical inspection of critical tolerances of machined parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and completed units.Essential Functions:
Checks tolerance and finishes of machined parts, wound components, subassemblies and completed units using a variety of tools and gauges. Comfortable using handheld micrometers, calipers, and comparators. Familiar with using electronic indicators and digital height gages Familiar with using thread plugs, thread rings, plug gages, and ring gages. Verifies each step in the process is completed and recorded properly. Uses test equipment and gauges following engineering instructions. Summarize, file, and maintain records and parts traceability. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Able to communicate effectively with other departments.Critical Competencies:

High School Diploma or equivalent with knowledge of advanced shop math.
