Laser Operator- Weekend shift

Major Job Functions

• Good manual dexterity required.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, routers, use sample/basic math, and basic hand-held measuring tools. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy is a plus.

Training Requirements:

General Safety. Quality System Awareness.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and bend.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Safety glasses are required.
• Steel toes shoes required.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a Manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS 1.

Perform typical laser cutting and welding operations. 2. Select proper cutting and welding programs, and proper fixtures. 3. Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point. 4. Make proper set-ups for cutting. 5. Perform prescribed maintenance as required. 6. Perform all dimensional inspections. 7. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. 8. Perform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require. 9. Responsible for adherence to the Safety policy. 10. Responsible for adherence to the Environmental policy
