  • 5:30 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_173332 Spherion Staffing is interviewing for Fabricator/Machine Operators to work with our client, a manufacturing company.
The Fabricator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of fabrication equipment. Qualified applicants should have a minimum of 1 year experience in a metal manufacturing environment. Pay $21+/hour DOE
Schedule:
Fall
  • Spring Schedule:
    Monday
  • Thursday:
    7:00AM
  • 5:30PM
Summer Schedule:
Monday
  • Thursday:
    from 7:00 AM
  • 5:30PM plus Fridays 7:00AM until noon (or when work is needed)
Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently and accurately set up and operate the metal fabrication machines for routine established work
  • Load, install and correctly set up the tools required; including computer set-up
  • Safely load sheet metal into machine, unload fabricated product and stack safely, properly, and securely
  • Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
  • Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and completed work
  • Operate hand & power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects
  • Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned Working hours: 7:00 AM

Qualifications:
  • High school education and technical training or equivalent experience
  • Experience in metal manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Competent at basic dimensional measuring and math; as well as the ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
  • Computer knowledge a plus
