Job Description As a Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection of products in both standard and non-standard environments. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of work and ensuring high-quality output.
What will you do:
Blueprint Reading and Interpretation:
Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Utilize written instructions to accurately complete assembly tasks.
Tool Operation:
Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently and safely.
Inventory Management:
Maintain an organized inventory of products in workstations, ensuring all necessary materials are available and accounted for.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on work performed, identifying and recording any product defects. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Always adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a productive work environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Capable of working in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools. Attention to

Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure high-quality assembly. Precision in following engineering specifications and instructions.

Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
