Machine Operator/Assembler

RESPONSIBLE TO

Production Supervisor

FUNCTION

: Assemble and/or sew a variety of materials in various patterns. Assemble products according to process engineering and/or specifications.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Use of a commercial equipment to complete tasks required for the sewing industry. sewing machines, hardware, and other equipment to perform the following: a. Assemble or Sew materials in a safe and efficient manner b. Maintain high quality standards c. Be able to understand and follow specific instructions given by supervisory staff. 2. Changes needles, rethread and load machinery, as required. 3. Assemble components according to supervisor's instruction using various tools such as glue gun, snap press, jigs and fixtures. 4. Record counts on production sheets and into a production computer. 5. Assure accuracy of counts and quality of assembled goods. 6. Communicates issues to Supervisor. 7. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS

: High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic working knowledge of sewing machines desired, but not required.
