Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Machine Operator
  • Job Description
  • This role involves operating production machinery to move chips for oil recycling, performing basic troubleshooting, and supporting a clean and efficient manufacturing process. You will use an overhead crane and a variety of tools to handle large items safely, conduct quality checks with precision gauges, and ensure machines are properly refilled and maintained throughout the shift.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Operate machinery that moves chips to recycle oil in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Perform minor troubleshooting on machines to resolve basic operational issues. + Utilize an overhead crane to move large items as needed, following all safety procedures. + Perform quality checks using various gauges to ensure products meet required specifications. + Refill machines with oil and monitor fluid levels to maintain consistent operation. + Use hand tools, power tools, and CNC-related equipment as required for daily tasks. + Operate a forklift to move materials and products safely around the facility, if certified and assigned. + Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to support production and quality requirements. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. + Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines at all times. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address issues promptly.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Proven ability to operate production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with machine operation and basic troubleshooting. + Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. + Experience working with or around CNC equipment. + Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn, as required by the role. + High School Diploma or GED. + Capability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. + 1-2 years of previous manufacturing or related experience preferred. + Strong attention to detail for performing quality checks using gauges. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
+ Comfort working with overhead cranes to move large items, with appropriate training. + Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area. + Reliability in attendance and punctuality to support shift-based operations. + Willingness to work on either 1st or 2nd shift as scheduled. + Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
