Description Express is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a Manufacturing Company in New Salem! Do you have mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, equipment, or machinery? Express is seeking a Gear Shop Laborer to assist with the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of industrial gearboxes. This position is ideal for candidates with automotive, mechanical assembly, or small engine repair experience.
SHIFT:

Mechanical Assembler:
- Disassemble and inspect industrial gearboxes and related components
- Assist with ordering materials and replacement parts as needed
- Assemble gearboxes according to specifications and drawings
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as required Qualifications of the
Mechanical Assembler:
- High school diploma or GED
- Attention to detail and safety
- Reliability
- Mechanical experience in automotive repair, assembly, maintenance, or small engine repair preferred
- Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, crouch, etc.
