Mechanical Assembler Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team, responsible for building large cooling units. You will be working with metal framing, copper tubing, and performing tasks such as drilling holes and piping. Comfort with hand and power tools is essential, as well as the ability to read and write, and follow directions from leads or diagrams. You will receive hands-on training and utilize manual lifting devices for heavy lifting, often requiring team lifts. Your role involves performing basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations, manually assembling components per visual aids, verifying specifications, and inspecting parts to ensure assembly accuracy. Basic mechanical aptitude is required, and electrical knowledge is a plus. Responsibilities Build large cooling units using hand and power tools. Work with metal framing, copper tubing, drilling holes, and piping. Follow directions from leads or diagrams. Receive hands-on training and utilize manual lifting devices for heavy lifting. Perform basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations. Manually assemble components per visual aids and verify specifications. Inspect assembled parts to ensure accuracy and quality. Essential Skills Comfortable with hand and power tools. Ability to read and write, and follow directions. Basic mechanical aptitude. Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret graphs and diagrams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical knowledge is a plus. Ideal candidate has a 1+ year in detailed mechanical assembly. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing site with the potential to expand into a 3-million square foot campus. The shift is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with an opportunity for additional pay if hours are met. Steel toe shoes are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.30 - $25.30/hr.
