- Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glass Fabricator & Polishing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality glass products and operating polishing machinery to achieve precise finishes. Your expertise will ensure that each piece meets strict quality standards while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication equipment and contribute to the creation of premium glass solutions. Duties Set up and operate glass fabrication and polishing machines, ensuring smooth and accurate processing of glass sheets or components Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards throughout the fabrication process Program and monitor CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated cutting, shaping, and polishing tasks Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to interpret specifications and guide fabrication procedures Conduct routine inspections using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure parts meet design tolerances Adjust machine settings and tools based on measurements and mechanical knowledge to optimize performance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by properly handling hand tools, mechanical parts, and precision measuring instruments Qualifications Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery, especially CNC or polishing equipment in a fabrication setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD software, and CNC programming is highly desirable Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for quality control Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings Knowledge of GD&T principles to ensure parts conform to specifications Ability to read technical drawings and use hand tools effectively in fabrication processes Prior experience in glass fabrication or machining is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Join our team to craft exceptional glass products with precision and passion!
