  • Full-time Mechanical Assembler Level I, II, and III Automation Personnel Services is looking for experienced Mechanical Assemblers for a company based in Houston, TX.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for performing manual labor in a production environment; assembling parts of various product lines. Craft skills in the assembly, fit up, stack up of the mechanical aspects and general components. Pay Rate $18.00
  • 25.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule and Hours Monday-Friday 7:00am
  • 4:30pm Mechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities Basic or learning level of the methodology and the tooling for mechanical stack up and assembly.
Requires mentoring, coaching and or supervision while using tooling for package mechanical stack up and assembly (i.e. hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tooling, torque wrenches, torque multiplier, drills, impacts, etc.) Basic or at a learning level of understanding of package mechanical stack up and/or assembly, it is understood that personnel at this level are under-going training, to be mentored or coached by the higher Level 1 and 2 assemblers as well as shop leadership/management. This level of assembler is
EXPECTED
to ask questions and not proceed until a full understanding of the work scope is defined, also the work is to be inspected and overseen by the Level 1 & 2 assemblers. Basic or learning level of knowledge for working in such an industry, this level of assembler is to follow all safety guidelines and when in doubt, ask for guidance for Level 1 & 2 assemblers and/or on site EHS or management for assistance. Basic or learning level of knowledge or experience for problem resolution and general assembly issues. To be mentored, coached, trained by Level 1 & 2 assemblers until a management level of evaluation can support promoting to the next level of assembler. Basic familiarization with mechanical drawings, BOMs, processes, etc. Although not proficient, can read and understand said documents and follow them while assisted, mentored & coaching by Level 1 and 2 assemblers. Mechanical Assembler Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic or learning level within mechanical stack-up and assembly, experience is not required, to be trained by OJT and mentored or coached by higher level assemblers of both Levels 1 and 2. Level 1-Advanced level within mechanical stack up and assembly, 5+ years' experience required. Level 2
  • Advanced level within mechanical stack-up and assembly, 2 years' experience is required.
Experience with operating equipment such as forklifts, manlift, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes required. Able to occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds, assessment given in office.
