Relocation assistance may be available for select locations. About the Role As an Electric Motor Winder, you will be responsible for rewinding, repairing, testing, and rebuilding electric motors, generators, pumps, and other electro-mechanical equipment. You'll work alongside experienced technicians while utilizing industry-leading tools, equipment, and repair processes to deliver high-quality results for our customers. Key Responsibilities Rewind and repair AC and DC motors, generators, wound rotors, alternators, and transformers Record winding data, measurements, and electrical characteristics accurately Perform disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electric motors and rotating equipment Apply insulation systems, varnishing techniques, and Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) processes Operate winding machines, surge testers, core-loss testers, bake ovens, and related shop equipment Perform electrical and mechanical testing throughout the repair process Follow established safety procedures and quality standards Assist with training and mentoring less experienced technicians when applicable Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Two or more years of experience in motor winding, motor repair, industrial maintenance, rotating equipment repair, or related mechanical trades Experience with AC/DC motor repair preferred Prior exposure to winding practices is highly desirable but not required for candidates with strong motor repair experience Valid driver's license required CDL and DOT medical card are a plus Experience working in an EASA-accredited shop is preferred but not required Desired Skills Understanding of electric motors, generators, pumps, and rotating equipment Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and repair documentation Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Comfortable using computerized work order and documentation systems Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work safely in an industrial shop environment Why Join Us?
