EAP. POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembly tech assembles aerospace structural sections from parts, subassemblies and components independently and efficiently.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble aerospace components, subassemblies, and structures in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Install mechanical components, hardware, brackets, hinges, bushings, and fasteners using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment Perform drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and fastening operations to engineering specifications Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications, and assembly documentation to ensure accurate part installation Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and conformance to quality requirements Position and align parts and subassemblies using fixtures, jigs, templates, and measuring instruments Apply sealants, coatings, and other materials per manufacturing requirements and customer specifications Inspect completed assemblies and identify non-conformances, defects, or process improvements Maintain a safe, organized work area while adhering to 5S and company safety standards Meet established quality, productivity, and schedule requirements with minimal supervision
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1-year previous assembly experience in the aerospace industry Basic shop math skills Ability to read and follow work instructions Completion of aptitude test during interview process
