at Aerotek in Spokane, Washington, United States Job Description HIRING !!!!!! $23-28/HR - Mechanical Assembler Job Description The Mechanical Assembler will build large corrugated box manufacturing machines by reading and interpreting blueprints and assembling components using standard hand and power tools. This role focuses on basic mechanical assembly and is well-suited for individuals with mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical backgrounds who enjoy hands-on work in a busy production environment.
SHIFT :
5a-3:30p (Mon-Thurs) Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assemble corrugated box machines of various sizes and configurations. + Perform basic mechanical assembly using standard hand tools such as screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, and power screwdrivers. + Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to specifications, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function. + Work on machines ranging in size from small units comparable to a cutting board or microwave to large units comparable to the size of a car. + Lift and move heavy parts and equipment safely during the assembly process. + Crawl under machines and work on ladders to access components in tight or elevated areas. + Stand and work on feet for extended periods during long production shifts. + Use knowledge of metric and standard bolts to select and install appropriate fasteners. + Follow established manufacturing and production procedures to meet quality and safety standards. + Collaborate with team members and production staff to meet daily and weekly assembly targets. + Be available and willing to work overtime, including mandatory Friday shifts and occasional Saturday work, as needed to support production demands. Essential Skills + Ability to read and work from blueprints and mechanical schematics. + Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanically minded approach to problem-solving. + Experience using standard hand tools including screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, and power screwdrivers. + Capability to perform heavy lifting safely throughout the workday. + Comfort with crawling under machines and working on ladders to access assembly points. + Ability to stand and be on feet for long periods during 10-hour shifts. + Availability to work long shifts and regular overtime, typically close to 50 hours per week. + Understanding of the difference between metric and standard bolts and proper use in assembly. + Ownership of required personal tools in line with the provided tools list To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
