About the Role As an In-Shop Technician, you will be responsible for rewinding and repairing AC and DC electric motors and other electromechanical equipment , ensuring all work meets the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Rewind AC/DC motors and other electromechanical equipment Strip and dismantle units, including media blasting when required Inspect components for electrical or mechanical failure Record all electromagnetic and operational data Build coils and prepare components for rewinding Perform electrical testing in line with industry standards (including EASA) Operate machinery, tools, and hoists safely Contribute to a high-performance, safety-first workshop culture
What They're Looking For Essential:
3-5+ years' experience rewinding AC & DC electric motors Ability to rewind fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles Good mechanical skills and attention to detail Ability to read and follow technical instructions Understanding of basic math (fractions, measurements, etc.) Ability to operate VPI equipment (preferred but not essential) Strong safety awareness and shop-floor discipline You'll thrive in this role if you: Value teamwork, accountability, and craft excellence Enjoy hands-on mechanical and electrical work Communicate clearly and professionally Are proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
