$27.61/hour Job Summary We are hiring a Machine Operator/Fabricator for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Fitchburg, WI. This role supports daily fabrication operations by operating production machinery, producing quality components, and following manufacturing instructions in a safe and organized work environment. This is a hands-on manufacturing role and is a good fit for candidates with machine operation, fabrication, press operation, CNC, sheet metal, blueprint reading, or measuring tool experience. Shift:
10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This opening is currently for 3rd shift only. Pay $25.61/hour base rate Additional $2.00/hour 3rd shift premium Total hourly rate: $27.61/hour Responsibilities Operate fabrication machinery and production equipment. Load and unload raw materials and finished parts. Select and run machine programs for specific parts. Make minor machine adjustments as needed. Inspect finished parts visually and with measuring tools. Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, or gauges to check parts. Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. Assist with other production or fabrication tasks as assigned. Qualifications Previous manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, or production experience preferred. Experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, or other measuring tools preferred. Blueprint reading or experience working from technical drawings is strongly preferred. Experience with CNC equipment, brake presses, press brakes, stamping presses, lasers, spot welders, die cast machines, or sheet metal equipment is a plus. Ability to stand for a full shift and perform repetitive physical movements. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed. Strong attention to detail and quality. Basic computer skills and comfort working with machine screens or production software. Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
