Join Us at Talgo Talgo Inc. refurbishes passenger railcars for LA MetroLink at our Milwaukee facility, focusing on high quality mechanical and structural work to extend the service life of the railcars for another 30 years. We are seeking experienced high-level mechanical assemblers who bring strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and ideally some plumbing experience. This role requires more advanced assembly and mechanical knowledge than an entry-level assembler and is an excellent opportunity for someone who want to take their skills to the next level.

Career Growth What You'll Do:
Perform high-level mechanical assembly on railcars and sub-assemblies Install, align, and secure mechanical systems and piping components on railcars Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings with minimal supervision Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving during assembly Assist with plumbing related work (installing, connecting, and testing water and drainage lines) Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to finish the bathroom and interior of the train
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification is a strong plus) 4-6 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing or production environment (construction is also acceptable) Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on complex assemblies Plumbing experience (does not require certification) strongly preferred, or equivalent advanced mechanical experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical schematics and diagrams Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments Familiarity with preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting is a plus Mentoring or training experience is a strong plus but not required
