Job Description

To slit coated rugs out of the coater according to specifications.
Essential Functions:
Must have good hand/eye coordination. Read specification sheets. Able to prepare slitter knives, sharpen and adjust to specifications. Able to adjust slitter rollers with speed controls. Able to slit rugs, keeping edges smooth and in line. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned by job and management. Education and/or
Experience:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and speak English. Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations quickly.
Licenses/Certificates:
Valid driver's license.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for a long period of time and is required to bend, twist, and stoop/kneel. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. The environment is heated and cooled, but is exposed to heat and cold as influenced by seasonal temperature extremes. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
