Plate Washer

Summary:

Provides plate cleaning and sleeve support duites to the PrePress department.

Key Accountabilities :

Strips plates from sleeves after jobs are complete Strips sticky back from sleeves Organizes plates by engraving number Separates each with foam liner Tags each set with engraving number Stacks plates neatly using a foam pad and places proper identification on the plates Collects dirty or used plates and moves to plate washing area Keeps work area clean and in order Stores plates in designated staging area Removes plates from package Runs dirty plate through plate washer Repacks plates with production order to be sent to inventory Scheduled changing of washing fluid Keeps work area clean and organized at all times Strips plates on other jobs while sleeve washer is running Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

High School education or GED Previous PrePress experience preferred Skills, Abilities, and Competencies Ability to read and comprehend production orders Ability to analyze and solve problems Good communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills
