Purpose of Position:
Operator I:
May be responsible for verifying the quality and packaging of licensed and unlicensed garments for shipping.
Potential Job Titles:
Thread Putaway Production QC Grid Sorter Unloader Capable of safely and properly operating multiple pieces of specialized equipment in a controlled environment
Essential Functions:
May be assigned to Heat Seal, Embroidery, DTF, or other areas as business needs require. These are a few of the tasks an Operator I may be required to perform. This list is not all inclusive and responsibilities may change as the needs of the business dictate Operates shipping stations using shipping software Inspect embroidered items for accuracy, consistency, and quality according to specifications Check for defects such as misalignment, skipped stitches, thread breaks, color errors, puckering, or incorrect placement Inspect heat-sealed patches on products to ensure proper adhesion, placement, and alignment according to specifications Check for seal integrity, bubbles, wrinkles, misalignment, incomplete adhesion, or other defects Properly tags and labels the garment, packages, and ships the order per customer order Sort incoming and outgoing products accurately into designated grid locations based on recipes or tape numbers, pick lists, order numbers, or system instructions Scan or verify items using handheld scanners, RF devices, or WMS systems to confirm correct placement Ensure each grid location contains the correct items, quantities, and order information May assist in printing and trimming DTF/DTT logos Returns and organizes thread spools by color, type, size, or material according to production or inventory specifications Inspect threads for quality issues such as knots, frays, or inconsistencies Notifies VSM/VSS of any concerns regarding all HR, Safety, and Security work policies, specific work instructions, and quality system requirements. Behave, speak, and treat others in a respectful manner while supporting workflow. Participate in kaizen or improvement project teams

Requirements:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time constraints Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal directions Physically able to lift 30-50 pounds regularly Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 11.5 hours per shift Ability to perform repetitive upper body and arm movements At least six months of experience in a general Manufacturing/Production role Excellent attendance record and willingness to work overtime, including weekends, based on business needs
