Lens Edging Technician Infinite Vision Eye Care Hialeah, FL Job Details Full-time $14 - $16 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Machine setup Machine cleaning Bag packaging Hand tools Machine minor repairs Full Job Description SUMMARY Full time position to run edger machines by using the information provided on Prescription form for the lens patterns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties Prioritize work based on start dates. Sort lenses according to thickness, style and frame type to run on appropriate edger machines Read Rx to ensure that all previous work was done correctly Place lens in edger, remove screw from frame, place screw in bag. Set up edger using key pad to match requested RX information, or frame type. After lens is edged, take lens out and place next lens in edger As one lens is being edged, ensure that the other lens fits properly in frame using hand tool Occasionally perform light maintenance on edger machines Occasionally empty buckets/bags located underneath edger machines. Clean machine after shift usage. Secondary Duties Cross-train in other positions and help in other areas of department when needed Remove edging blocks and adhesive rubber pad that hold block to lens Pad up blocks with adhesive rubber pad for edging Remove eye wire screws from ophthalmic frames to facilitate insertion of edged lenses
