Principle Responsibilities Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines Follows program notes to build and install fixturing. Maintains proper line clearance for job Completes jobs per standard procedures Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece. Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed. Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings. Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct Works independently and maintains productivity and quality. Reads and interprets prints.
Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prefer the ability to read blue prints (Level 2) and use measurement tools (level 1) Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals. Prefer computer skills Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge. Prefer Drawing Editor software experience.(Level 2) Prefer working knowledge of working with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators) Other Requirements Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
