Job Description
Description We are looking for a Segmentation Specialist to support Pre‑Operative Planning by segmenting CT scans and create 3D bone models to support robotically assisted orthopedic procedures. This role is focused on individual production performance to meet team and department output goals on a fast‑paced second‑shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage surgical cases using a proprietary case management system.
- Review CT scans to ensure they meet Mako Surgical protocol standards.
- Segment CT scans using specialized software to produce 3D anatomical bone models for use in robotic surgery.
- Build Pre‑Operative Surgical Plans for Total Hip and Total Knee replacement procedures using digital bone models.
- Review segmentation quality and surgical plans for proper anatomical landmark selection, implant sizing, and positioning.
- Upload finalized pre‑plans to field personnel.
- Document all activities following defined procedures and standardized methods.
Requirements Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience, or equivalent education (Associate's degree or higher).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow structured workflows.
- Ability to work onsite during 3:30 PM-12:00 AM shift hours.
- Ability to work overtime when needed due to production demand.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English (reading and speaking).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education.
- Experience with SharePoint or Materialize MIMICS.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Certification or related experience in Radiology (CT, X‑Ray, MRI).
- Nursing certification or related healthcare background.
- Completion of college‑level anatomy courses.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
