We are looking for a Ram Press Operator who will be a part of the continuous improvement of AMACO.As a Ram Press Operator, you will play an important role in our production of clay molds, chips, and boards along with a variety of other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Load and unload kilns and Ram Press dyes Must be able to safely and properly operate machinery Proper use of RAM press and sponge roll cleaner Pour molds for production tiles Application of Glaze by Brush and/or Sprayer Inspect chips and boards to ensure they are free of any cracks or other discrepancies/contamination Properly calibrate machines for RAM press Frequently clean machines to ensure they run properly Maintaining a clean working environment •
Skills:
- Verbal and Written communication skills Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Reading and Comprehension skills Properly read, understand, and follow Work Instructions Proper use of hand tools such as mixer, drill, torque wrench, etc.
Interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Self-managing and self-motivated Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. Must possess the ability to pay attention to detail that results in quality ceramic finishes.
Work Environment:
- This job may require you to stand for an extended period of time as well as lifting/heavy lifting is required.
Must be able to work in hot and cold environments

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm, 40+ hours per week. Occasional Friday work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, or equivalent RAM press Training-able to provide on-the-job training
