Full Job Description Description:
Lathe Hand is responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic lathes to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience in lathe operations, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with various metals and alloys.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate lathes to produce precision metal parts Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of parts Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards Perform routine maintenance on lathes and other equipment Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment as needed Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience operating lathes in a manufacturing environment Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and ability to use them effectively Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safe work environment
