Job Description
Turner Apprentice As a Turner Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and train under experienced turners to develop your skills in the trade. We are seeking motivated individuals with a passion for working with their hands and an interest in metalworking. This is an entry-level position with no experience required, making it a great opportunity for those looking to start their career as a turner.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior turners in operating machinery and tools used in metalworking
- Learn how to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of mathematics and measurements
- Ability to work with hand tools and machinery
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to learn from experienced professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational or technical training in metalworking or related field
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
