Job Description

Position Summary Nesco Resource is seeking a Slasher Operator to support the weaving preparation process by operating and monitoring slashing equipment used to prepare warp yarn for production. This position is responsible for ensuring yarn is properly coated, dried, and wound according to quality and production standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate slasher machinery used in the warp preparation process. Load warp beams and prepare yarn for the slashing process. Monitor machine settings, yarn tension, speed, temperature, and chemical application to ensure product quality. Apply sizing solution to yarn as required for weaving preparation. Inspect yarn for defects, breaks, tangles, or inconsistencies during operation. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain production standards. Replace packages, repair yarn breaks, and assist with creeling when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment. Complete production paperwork and report downtime, defects, or mechanical issues to supervision. Follow all plant safety procedures, quality standards, and attendance expectations. Assist with general housekeeping and other production-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous textile manufacturing experience preferred, especially in slashing, weaving preparation, or warp preparation. Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial textile equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and move materials as needed. Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts and overtime when required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 35-50 pounds as needed. Ability to work around moving machinery, yarn, and manufacturing equipment. Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
