Job Description
Deburr Technician 1st Shift 6:00am to 2:30pm Must have the ability to work on very small parts with the assistance of a microscope under various magnifications. Must have exceptional hand eye coordination. Must have the ability to work with small deburring tools requiring very steady hands Must have practical knowledge of reading drawings and specifications, ability to read and interpret process work instructions. Must have practical knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales. Must be able work within and understand extremely challenging machining tolerances. Must be able to effectively communicate and problem solve within a team environment. Must be able to communicate, get along and work well with co-workers and other departments. Must maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards. Must have the ability to pass an annual Eye Exam. Must maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor / Manager. must continuously promote, encourage, and use proper safety practices and best practices for standard work. Must be able to work closely with design, quality, and process to address problems and implement improvements. Independently, safely, and efficiently launches new deburring processes, making necessary set-ups/adjustments, and optimizations for one-off, rework, or first-run work on any deburr equipment with a high rate of success. Must ensure that all tools, equipment, parts, and fixtures are correctly handled, maintained, and managed. Proactively ensures material/job(s) are staged for the next one or two operations for the assigned work cell/area. Must ensure that all tools, equipment, parts, and fixtures are correctly handled, maintained, and managed. They will have a proven track record of successfully training team members on multiple programs and deburr techniques. Champions solutions that lead to measurable improvements (less inspection time, faster cycle time, less set-up time, less scrap, less downtime, less rework).
