Insole Sander Job Summary:

We are seeking an Insole Sander to support our finishing department by ensuring each boot's insole is properly smoothed, free of exposed tacks, and ready for the next phase of production. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect the insole area of boots for exposed or raised tacks. Use the rotary sander to smooth the insole area thoroughly. Use mallet and rod to flatten any remaining raised tacks inside the boot. Perform final sanding with manual sander to ensure a smooth heal area. Check each boot for quality and repeat process as needed for consistency.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. No prior experience necessary; training will be provided. Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship. Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required Repetitive motion required in sanding and hammering tasks.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site position at our facility Work may involve exposure to leather materials, adhesives, and mechanical equipment Noise level and temperature may vary depending on department
Schedule:
Monday - Friday weekends as needed. 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed. Shift hours may vary between 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM depending on department assignment.
