Box Toe Apprentice Job Summary:

We are seeking an Apprentice to support our Box Toe Department by preparing , attaching, and securing the box toe in boot manufacturing. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove nails from the toe area and carefully separate the leather from the lining. Heat and prepare box toes until flexible for fitting. Stretch and attach box toes tightly to the boot lining. Apply glue and whittle the box toe to achieve the required shape. Pull leather back over the toe of the boot and nail in place.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. No prior experience necessary; training will be provided. Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required Repetitive motion required in box toe tasks. Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to loud mechanical and hammering noise.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position at our facility Work may involve exposure to leather materials, adhesives, and mechanical equipment Noise level and temperature may vary depending on department

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed. Weekends as needed.
