Job Description:
Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Laser Component Cleaning Technician, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, quality, and performance of precision laser system components. This position is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining sensitive laser and optical parts in a controlled manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
Essential Job Duties:
Perform precision cleaning of laser and optical components using approved solvents, tools, and cleaning methods. Inspect components for contamination, defects, or damage and report nonconforming parts. Follow detailed work instructions, cleaning procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including performing routine maintenance and calibration checks. Collaborate with assembly, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure components meet cleanliness and quality specifications. Accurately document cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance records. Adhere to all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance cleaning efficiency, quality, and process consistency. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
Job Requirements:
Experience and Expertise Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom, assembly, or precision cleaning environments. Experience using cleaning tools, solvents, and precision handling techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with delicate components. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, drawings, and SOPs. Familiarity with cleanroom practices and contamination control standards preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
