Temporary to Permanent We are currently recruiting for a Glass Production Operative on behalf of our client based in the NR29 area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing business producing high-quality glass products for a range of industries. The successful candidate will receive full training across various areas of the production process, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position. Key Responsibilities Glass Cutting
  • Transfer CAD data and optimise nesting layouts to maximise material utilisation and accurately cut components from glass sheets. Glass Grinding
  • Load CAD data, programme, and operate glass edge grinding machinery to achieve the required finish and specification. Glass Toughening
  • Train and operate specialist in-house bending and toughening processes, including flat glass furnaces, press-bent toughening plants, and sagged-bending furnaces. Glass Printing
  • Operate printing equipment to apply detailed designs and markings to glass prior to the toughening process.
Manufacture glass products to a consistently high quality standard. Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure products meet customer specifications. Safely handle, lift, and manoeuvre glass components throughout the production process, using mechanical lifting equipment where required. Conduct quality checks and follow all company procedures and standards. Support other production activities and undertake additional duties as required. Candidate Requirements Previous manufacturing, production, engineering, or glass processing experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Willingness to learn specialist machinery and production processes. Ability to follow instructions and work to detailed specifications. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physically capable of handling glass products safely. Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts. Strong team-working skills and a positive attitude.
