Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Assist the lead sawmaker in the production of backsaws and handsaws. Operate and maintain small shop machinery and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition. Assemble saw components, including handles, plates, backs and fasteners, to produce high-quality finished products. Package and ship domestic and international orders Perform quality control checks at various stages of production to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Travel to tradeshows up to 4 times per year (company paid trips up to 4 days at a time) Keep accurate records of production activities and inventory levels. Continuously learn and develop skills related to sawmaking and woodworking.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or customer service preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with shipping software and customer service platforms is a plus.
