Tube Prep & Finishing Technician Confidential Antioch, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Power saws Sanding tools TIG welding Manufacturing facility Dimensional measurements Grinding tools Measuring instruments Attention to detail Manufacturing Cutting tools Polishing Full Job Description We are looking for a Tube Prep & Finishing Technician to help prepare stainless exhaust components for welding, assembly, and final finishing. Position Summary This is a shop production role focused on cutting, deburring, sanding, polishing, surface prepping, cleaning, and staging stainless steel tube components. The right person is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable doing hands-on repetitive production work with a high standard for quality. This is not a welding position, but welding/fabrication experience is a plus. Responsibilities Cut stainless steel tubing and components to spec Deburr, sand, grind, polish, and surface-prep parts Prepare tube assemblies for welding and final assembly Clean and organize parts during the production process Use basic shop tools, sanders, grinders, Scotch-Brite wheels, saws, and measuring tools Inspect parts for finish quality, scratches, burrs, contamination, and fitment issues Follow shop procedures and production standards Keep work area clean and organized Assist with general shop production tasks as needed Requirements Hands-on shop, fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred Comfortable using grinders, sanders, saws, hand tools, and measuring tools Strong attention to detail Reliable attendance and good work ethic Ability to follow instructions and repeat a process consistently Comfortable working in a small manufacturing shop Able to stand, lift, move parts, and work with your hands throughout the day Preferred Experience Metal finishing Stainless steel prep or polishing Tube cutting and deburring Motorcycle, automotive, race fabrication, exhaust, or machine shop experience TIG welding or fabrication background Experience with Scotch-Brite wheels, belt sanders, die grinders, chop saws, or cold saws What We Are Looking For We need someone who takes pride in clean work.
