$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Currently working 10-hour shifts) Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Helper to support daily operations in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing metal parts for welding, maintaining a clean and organized shop, and assisting with general warehouse and shop duties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting. Job Responsibilities Clean and prepare metal parts before they move into the welding process. Perform detailed cleaning of corners, creases, and hard-to-reach areas to ensure parts meet quality standards. Use cleaning chemicals, rags, and other tools safely and effectively. Wear required PPE, including gloves and other safety equipment, at all times. Assist with general shop and warehouse housekeeping duties. Sweep, organize, and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. Organize materials, tools, and inventory throughout the facility. Support production and fabrication teams as needed. Help maintain inventory and ensure materials are stored properly. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. Comfortable working in a shop environment around machinery and fabrication equipment. Able to work both indoors and outdoors, including under covered awnings. Comfortable working in a loud and cold environment. Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift. Must be available to work overtime, especially during harvest season.
