Metal Cutter Vision Staffing Solutions LLC Whittier, CA Job Details Full-time $22 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Safety protocol adherence Mechanical drawings Machining equipment Cutting machines Full Job Description Full Time | Weekly Pay | 1st Shift | Santa Fe Springs Busy machine shop is looking for someone who knows their way around cutting equipment like band saws (horizontal/vertical), cold saws, chop saws and general metal cutting equipment. What You'll Do Operate band saws to cut steel, aluminum, and other metals Read cut lists, job travelers, and basic blueprints Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, tape measure Select the right blades and adjust feed rates, tension, and angles Perform basic maintenance (blade changes, lubrication, cleaning) Ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards Keep work area clean, organized, and safe Assist with loading/unloading and moving material around the shop Required 1+ year experience with band saws or metal cutting equipment Machine shop or fabrication experience preferred Able to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions Strong attention to detail Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Safetyminded and dependable Pay $22 per hour.
