Position Summary:

The Polisher polishes and buffs stainless steel and other metal products to meet the customer's needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a list of duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Secure products as needed and guides abrasive polishing wheel over piece to remove scratches and other defects from metal surfaces. Use appropriate hand and mounted tools to achieve specified finish. Examine and feels surface of product for defects. Select grade of abrasive belt, wheel or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal. Use appropriate hand and mounted tools to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material and burs. Replace worn disks, wheels and belts as needed. Follow blueprint and job specifications.

Meet and exceed the customer's expectations while supporting the delivery of a quality product on time. Continuously improve processes and BSI products, individually and/or as part of an organized task force. Work productively and professionally with all employees. Work as a BSI team with the end result of meeting the customer's expectations. Develop and revise work processes to increase efficiency and reduce expenses. Accountable for tasks outlined in job description, in addition to new assignments and procedures, and self-developed tasks. Adjust to changes made in the workplace, including but not limited to processes, procedures, and reporting relationships. Provide accurate data for measurements.

Experience:

Assembly polishing - 6 months of experience is helpful Custom polishing - 1 year preferred

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 5:30AM-3:00PM, Friday 5:30AM-9:30AM If you are interested in joining the team at FSH, please submit a resume!
