This position will focus on polishing, grinding, buffing, and finishing stainless steel nuclear glove boxes and related stainless steel components. This role is ideal for someone with strong stainless steel finishing experience who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality, visually accurate parts. Candidates must be comfortable working with stainless steel, removing surface imperfections, and following detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Pay:
$24-$28/hr, depending on experience
Schedule:
4x10 schedule, Monday-Thursday Duties Polish, grind, buff, and finish stainless steel nuclear glove boxes and related components Remove excess metal, weld marks, scratches, dents, surface defects, and imperfections Use grinders, polishers, buffers, sanding belts, wheels, hand tools, and other finishing equipment Select the correct belt, wheel, abrasive, or finishing material based on the required finish Examine and feel stainless steel surfaces to detect defects, scratches, dents, breaks, or uneven finishes Maintain a high level of visual quality and consistency on finished parts Follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards Work carefully around stainless steel surfaces to prevent damage or contamination Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet company and customer standards Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Assist with other shop, fabrication, or finishing duties as needed Qualifications 2+ years of stainless steel polishing, grinding, buffing, or metal finishing experience required Experience with stainless steel products required Experience with nuclear glove boxes preferred Ability to produce clean, high-quality visual finishes on stainless steel Experience removing weld marks, scratches, surface defects, and imperfections Ability to use grinders, polishers, buffers, sanding tools, and finishing equipment Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Comfortable standing for long periods of time Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to complete a drug test and background check Interested in learning more?
