The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to its customers. We are currently looking for a Metal Finisher to join the team. This role will operate a variety of metal finishing equipment, including bench lathes, grinders, dremel tools, and drill presses, to remove burrs and enhance surface finishes. Utilize deburring wheels, brushes, files, sandpaper, and polishing tools while maintaining strict adherence to dimensional tolerances for precision-machined components. Essential Duties General knowledge of most hand and manual machinery, fixturing, and precision measuring equipment needed to complete departmental assignments. Perform tooling and paperwork preparation such as sharpening, locating, verifying, etc. Set up shop equipment and proof to achieve a first piece quality product. Wash parts as needed according to customer specifications. Perform procedures at or above set standards for both time and quality and improve product throughput whenever possible. Generate all necessary documentation per company policy or verbal instruction. Keep machinery and work areas in a clean, safe, maintained, and organized fashion. Comply with all PPE and machine guarding as necessary with each job. Assist in other areas, or tasks, to meet production needs.
Required Education/Experience/Certifications:
High school education or trade school graduation certificate; 3-5 years of experience in debur/metal finishing. Fundamental computer skills. Why Choose Essex?
