Wood Finisher

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Wood Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet our standards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of various finishing techniques, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials. The Wood Finisher will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specifications. Responsibilities Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying appropriate primers or sealers. Apply stains, varnishes, paints, or other finishes using spray equipment. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments or touch-ups. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to understand project requirements and timelines. Perform heavy lifting as required during the finishing process and installation tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in wood finishing or a related field is preferred. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to wood finishing tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift heavy materials safely and effectively as part of the job requirements.
