ROLE PURPOSE
The stone polisher is responsible for the stone polishing process on assigned jobs in the shop, which includes working at a safe, steady pace and maintaining high-quality finished work.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Obtain details on job folder, read and understand information thoroughly Use proper stone handling skills as slabs are positioned on the tables Must be able to identify and reproduce edge styles by sight and by name Reproduce upon demand proper radii by dimension and by name Mix seam compound to color match and apply Measure, cut, and polish splashes/aprons to specified sizes Complete required job check-off sheets and contact foreman for job completion sign off Position completed jobs on carts, pallets, or A-frame in preparation for install or delivery
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Education and experience in small power tools Applied knowledge in general construction with the ability to read plans/drawings Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teammates Ability to handle varying workloads and perform under pressure
