Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team in Beatrice, Ne area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing metal components to meet specifications, ensuring high-quality surface finishes and optimal product appearance. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing processes, supporting quality standards, and delivering superior products to our clients. The Metal Polisher will work closely with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to achieve consistent results using a variety of tools and techniques. Duties Operate polishing equipment and hand tools to achieve smooth, polished surfaces on metal parts, adhering to specified finish requirements. Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications. Prepare metal surfaces for polishing by cleaning, deburring, and removing imperfections using appropriate hand tools and abrasives. Collaborate with CNC operators and machinists to understand part tolerances and surface finish expectations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed during polishing operations. Assist in the setup and calibration of polishing machines, including CNC polishing systems if applicable. Support fabrication and assembly processes by handling materials safely with forklifts or other materials handling equipment. Document work progress and quality checks accurately for traceability and process improvement purposes. Participate in continuous training on new polishing techniques, tools, or machinery such as press brake machines or stamping presses. Qualifications Proven factory experience in metal finishing, machining, or fabrication environments. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC programming (Fanuc, CAM programming), CAD design (SolidWorks), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Familiarity with various machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and welding equipment. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for surface finishing requirements. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication techniques, materials handling, and assembly line operations. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in manufacturing tasks. #

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
