Artifact Fabrication is a fast-growing precision sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing company serving engineers, OEMs, product developers, and industrial customers across a wide range of industries. We specialize in high-mix, low-volume production, rapid prototyping, laser cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and now in-house powder coating and advanced finishing . Role:
At Artifact Fabrication, the finish is where quality becomes visible. We're expanding our in-house powder coating and surface finishing capabilities, and we're looking for a detail-obsessed, quality-driven Manufacturing Finishing Technician to help us build something special from the ground up. This role is perfect for someone who loves seeing raw metal become a final, flawless product—and wants to grow alongside a fast-moving, technology-driven manufacturing company. This position starts as a hybrid finishing role and will grow into a dedicated finishing department position as volume increases. Training + Continuous Improvement Culture You will be fully trained on our tried-and-true finishing processes , quality standards, and equipment from day one. Once you're up to speed, you'll have real input and ownership in how our finishing department evolves.

What You'll Be Responsible For You will own and execute the final transformation of our products, including: Powder coating operations (washing, masking, racking, spraying, curing) Part cleaning, deburring, and surface prep Tumbling / vibratory finishing Passivation coordination and prep Final assembly and detail finishing Final cosmetic and quality inspections Packaging prep for finished goods Helping test, document, and implement future finishing processes, such as: Plating Anodizing Specialty coatings Advanced surface treatments You'll also help refine: Finishing workflows and work instructions Quality standards Visual inspection criteria Material handling and racking strategies Who This Role Is For This is a perfect role for someone who: Takes pride in perfect finishes Notices tiny imperfections others miss Enjoys hands-on work and process improvement Wants to learn advanced manufacturing skills Wants to help build a department , not just work in one Experience in powder coating, paint, automotive finishing, fabrication, or manufacturing is a plus — but we will train the right person with the right mindset.
