Job Description
Metal Finishers are primarily responsible for polishing and buffing aluminum and steel parts while removing surface defects using machinery and abrasive tools. Job duties include but are not limited to: 1. Grinding, sanding and filing uneven surfaces 2. Load and adjust work pieces onto racking or work tables 3. Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met 4. Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes 5. Select files or abrasives, according to materials, sizes and shapes of workpieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified and steps in finishing processes
