Read simple work instructions and drawings. Use welding equipment to join metal parts. Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, and cleaning metal. Inspect finished work to make sure it meets quality standards. Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment. Keep work areas clean and organized. Assist experienced welders with projects as needed. Report equipment problems to a supervisor.
