Location:
Philadelphia, PA Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 an hour
Position Overview:
In this role, you will operate grinding and finishing equipment to help produce high-quality metal products. You'll inspect finished pieces, maintain equipment, and ensure production standards are met while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate grinding machinery to remove excess material and smooth rough metal edges Inspect metal parts for defects, unfinished edges, and damaged areas Adjust machine settings to achieve proper finish quality and precision Evaluate, maintain, and replace grinding wheels and machine components as needed Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Store tools and materials properly Communicate with supervisors regarding production schedules and quality standards
Schedule:
1st Shift Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience as a metal grinder, metal finisher, or similar role preferred Strong understanding of grinding machines and hand tools Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Excellent attention to detail and quality control Ability to lift and move heavy metal parts Strong commitment to workplace safety and following safety procedures Reliable and dependable attendance Any Questions Contact Our Center City Office at 215 568 2228 #BASIC1
