Metal Polisher

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring a high-quality surface finish that aligns with our strict standards. Responsibilities Use hand tools, polishing machines, and power tools to achieve smooth, polished surfaces on various metal parts and components. Operate CNC polishing equipment and coordinate with CNC programming teams to ensure proper finishing processes. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately polish parts. Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to ensure surface finishes meet exact standards. Collaborate with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to prepare components for final assembly or packaging. Utilize materials handling equipment like forklifts safely for moving heavy or bulky metal parts within the manufacturing facility. Follow safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, tooling, and machinery operation while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing or factory environments with hands-on metal finishing or polishing skills. Strong mechanical knowledge of machining processes including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks for interpreting technical drawings. Experience operating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Fanuc systems, CAM programming, and CNC programming is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise finishing work. Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and quality control procedures. Warehouse experience or materials handling skills using forklifts or other equipment is preferred. Basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating dimensions during polishing tasks. Pay:

$20.31 - $24.28 per hour
