Job Description
We have an immediate need for a Coater 1 for First Shift in our McBee, SC facility. This position will be responsible for a number of job duties, including (but not limited to):
Responsibilities:
style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc- -Set up, change over, monitor, install and/or program thermal spray coating equipment for painting and/or glassing products;
- Obtain and prepare parts, equipment, tools and materials needed to complete tasks;
- Sand and paint components per required safety, quality and production specifications;
- Provide direction, training and/or guidance to new employees as required;
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, fixtures and tools per specifications;
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and organized condition and follow prescribed safety rules, quality requirements;
- Execute tests and trial coatings, etc. for development, implementation and process stability purposes;
- Store and properly identify finished units;
- Fill out paperwork related to production activity as required;
- Report problems with safety, quality, processes, equipment and materials to production lead or supervisor;
- Wear required PPE (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, and any additional PPE required for task being performed);
- Perform other duties and operate machinery as assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader.
Requirements:

- Willingness to work overtime as required depending on business need;
- Ability to read and understand basic measuring tools, diagrams and drawings;
- Ability to understand and follow standard work and work instructions;
- Ability to accept responsibility for work performed;
- Ability to perform repetitive work while paying attention to the detail and quality of work performed;
- Knowledge and skills to operate all required machines;
- Ability to receive on-the-job training;
- Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred;
- Ability to follow all safety and quality policies and procedures;
