Experience General Description:

 All employees of Smith System are responsible for abiding by the company's core values of servant leadership, diversity, ethical behavior, teamwork, and continuous learning. The T-Molder is responsible for ensuring that tabletops produced in manufacturing have a finished edge inserted with the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities:

Heat rolls of T-molding in warning boxes to increase T-mold flexibility Sand tabletop edges with sanding block and/or belt sander to smoothly finish edges. Insert heated T-Molding into sides of tabletops with hand and air hammer Efficiently place finished tabletop back on the production line for quality inspection Use hop floor tools to secure T-mold in place without protrusions From time to time, for the purpose of allowing employees to advance as well as to meet day to day labor needs, we may ask employees to work in other departments/positions outside of thier regular jobs classification All other duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent Experience in manufacturing/warehouse preferred but not required Experience using hand tools and warehouse equipment

Abilities Required:

Dependable with good attendance. Good reading, writing, math and communication skills are required Must pass a physical skills evaluation in the position Team player - ability to cooperate with associates, leads, supervisor, and managers Standing/Walking for minimum of 8 hours per day Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs without assistance. Ability to lift and carry objects more than 50lbs with assistance. Ability to operate basic hand tools. Ability to withstand frequent exposure to vibration from hand-held tools Ability to use verbal and written communication effectively. Constantly works in a warehouse without climate control Ability to work overtime when asked to do so by
