OVERVIEW

The Grinder reports to the Company Manager and is responsible for grinding, blasting and polishing using hand and power tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning / Grinding of castings Saw cutting of castings Must be hands on to assist other areas of the shop Read and interprets drawings Operate a crane Operate a forklift.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

High School Diploma/GED and/or Equivalent work experience Manufacturing or shop experience (minimum of 2-3 years) Grinding experience (1+ Year(s)) Ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail Ability to read and interpret blue prints Read and write English; demonstrated command of basic math; read and interpret measuring devices; read and interpret drawings, fractions to decimals, able to read machinist scales Technical skills and competence: Ability to communicate clearly and work well with a team Strong work ethic and initiative
