In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw stone materials into polished, finished products ready for installation or sale. Your expertise will contribute to creating high-quality stone surfaces that meet precise specifications and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of natural and engineered stones, utilizing your craftsmanship and technical skills to produce stunning results. Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts and machinery to cut, shape, and polish stone materials with precision. Fabricate custom stone pieces according to detailed project specifications, including measurements, templates, and drawings. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and machinery. Handle materials safely in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage practices. Perform surface polishing on stone slabs and countertops to achieve desired finishes, including honing, grinding, and sealing surfaces. Assist in the assembly of stone components for installation, ensuring proper fit and finish. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, welding, and fabrication processes. Skills Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery such as forklifts. Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machining, and materials handling. Experience in manufacturing or construction environments with a focus on millwork or custom fabrication projects. Knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards required for working with stone fabrication equipment. Ability to read technical drawings, templates, and project specifications accurately. Warehouse experience including inventory management and materials organization. Familiarity with assembly processes for custom stone installations using hand tools and power tools.
